It is possible that a family member or friend may have chosen to leave you some of her/his property or money in a will. A will is a legal document that states where a person's money and property goes when the person dies. A person called the "executor" makes sure that the terms of the will are carried out after the person dies. You would deal with the executor if you have inherited something through a will. For more detail about these terms and how they work, see Lean legal.
The death of a loved one is one of the hardest life experiences any of us go through. It can be even harder when a person is already facing a lot of stress from other things. It is natural to feel depressed, angry, and a range of other feelings at such times. It is also very important to look after yourself as you cope with this loss. Things you can do include speaking with a counsellor at an agency, getting support from friends and/or family, and if necessary accessing other supports (mental health).
